It's very important for me to have control over my education. I can determine where I'm going and at what rate, and right now I'm a grade ahead of where I'm supposed to be. I don't think it would be easy for me to do this in a traditional high school.
iQ Academy Minnesota provides a core 6-8 grade curriculum based on Minnesota's state-approved academic standards. In addition, a variety of elective courses are available in world languages, physical education, art, and music.
6th, 7th and 8th-grade students must take all core courses, plus their choice of electives, for a minimum of five credits and a maximum of six credits per year.
- All core courses are two semesters long and receive 1 credit
- Elective courses may be one or two semesters long, receiving .5 and 1 credit respectively
